Daily Deviation

Ok, I'd like to start off by saying a massive thankyou to all the people who have viewed, favourited or commented on my work over the past few days. I never thought my pictures would become so popular so quickly. Smeraldo http://Daniel-Scott.deviantart.com/art/Smeraldo-135640618 was put up for a Daily Deviation, and has since gained an extra 3,000 faves and counting. Considering it was only taken as a side piece for a month long project I did two years ago, I'm really surprised it has become so popular. This, of course, leads on to me saying thanks again, to Gordon McBryde http://p0rg.deviantart.com/ , who has been a massive inspiration to

...and it's time for another journal entry. Since my last journal entry (22nd February) I have completed my Art Foundation Course at Bradford College, I passed with a Merit, specialising in photography. I decided University just wasn't where I wanted to go with my life, and now have a new life plan (I say new, although it is something I have been planning since around March, but as far as DA is concerned it's new). In August 2011, me and my friend are going to spend a year working in Australia on a working holiday. Nearly six month since my last journal, and I've added a lot of work in between. I've just finished my Na'Vi project, and so I don't think I'll be doing anymore of them now. Just started a new project where I'm going to start off by copying some of Rankins http://www.rankin.co.uk beauty photography, so I'll be adding some of that soon. I've got an unconditional offer to do photography at Bradford University, not the best uni around, but I'm not sure that I want to move away from home. I have an interview in Cumbria in April, and am still considering going there if I get an offer, but still not sure if I definatly want to move out due to sev

Hi Daniel, I love your stuff, especially your photomanipulations. I was wondering if you could tell me if there are any professional photographers that inspire you or who you try to emulate. I am an art student and I need to do research for Lens Based Media, I would just write about you but I have been told I'm not allowed to do people from Deviantart :(
Thanks a lot. Erm, I don't really follow any famous photographers. Obviously Ian Rankin is one of my favorites, but it's not the same sort of style. Most of my inspiration comes from people on here. Gordon McBryde = p0rg.deviantart.com
Oh, there is a photographer/manipulator called Erik Johansson who has some amazing photomanipulation work. [link]
